Welcome to ROBIO 2010.

The 2010 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Biomimetics (ROBIO2010) is to provide a forum for researchers in the interdisciplinary areas of robotics and biomimetics to disseminate their latest research results. The theme of ROBIO2010 is “Robotics and Biomimetics for Human Science and Engineering”.

Sept. 22/1010 Prospects of BIONICS for Functional Material Science and Engineering

Seminare - Prospects of BIONICS for Functional Material Science and Engineering.

"Bionics is just on its transition from basic science to first promising applications in technology. In particular the synthesis/construction of novel materials with multifunctional properties based on ideas from nature is thought to be one of the key future application fields of Bionics. This workshop aims at exploring the potential of Bionic Materials Research in Austria by bringing together scientists from Universities, Research Centers and Companies. Topics to be discussed include:

• Hierarchical structuring
• Sensing and Actuation
• Self-healing
• Automotion

The workshop program comprises 8 invited lectures from international experts and 12 short lectures from participants."

The conference will be held at the University of Leoben, Austria.
